Think Green when you buy

Energy consumption differs between products; e.g. a plasma TV uses twice as much energy as an LCD screen. Also if you look for energy labelled products, you are pulling product demand in the right direction.

Why should you join?

Think green before you buy. Do a little research about the product you wish to buy and find about how environmentally friendly the company is. A plasma TV uses twice as much energy as an LCD screen and size does impact energy consumption: just a few extra inches means a huge increase in energy consumption.

Also look for energy labelled products such as Energy Star, etc. and look for the specific energy rating of the product. Remember: where you put your money is where you put your vote, and pushing demand in the right direction can do a lot to make our planet greener.
