Why should you join?
13 October 2008
5.30 - 7pm
Normal people really can change the world. 100 years ago the Suffragettes went to Parliament and demanded that their society change. They held a mass rally outside Parliament to which thousands came, before a number of them rushed into Parliament and got everyone's attention. We invite you all to celebrate the 100th anniversary of this world changing event. We invite you to celebrate when women got radical. Enjoy a rally and speeches in Parliament Square. Enjoy social change.
Come to Parliament Square at 5.30pm on Monday 13th October.
Why not dress in period costume, or one of our stewards will give you the Climate Rush sash.
If things are going to change we all need to get involved so we welcome everyone to join the fun. Inspirational women will speak. Rosie Boycott, Caroline Lucas, Baroness Tongue amongst others.
We will present Gordon Brown with the latest climate researchand our demands:
1. No airport expansion.
2. No new coal-fire power station without working carbon capture and storage technology.
3. Create cross-party policy to deal with the climate issue according to the most recent science.

I will inspire as many people to attend as I can
We will become stronger and more likely to be heard if we are organised and stand shoulder to shoulder.
We cannot expect instant capitulation, but we can inspire a seachange.
Vicars wives, disco pals, old workmates, ladies at bus stops. Local branches of all relevant groups, ABSOLUTELY EVERYBODY. Personal letters and phonecalls work best. Find the leader in a group and if she wants to help she'll bring her group with her
