The Greenvoice Team
Meet the guys who are putting together the next generation of social networks:
-
Martin Armstrong
Martin is the CEO and founder of Greenvoice. He is an entrepreneur who has founded ten different businesses, eight of which have gone on to become owner managed organisations.
As a farmer and a father, he cares about the environment and like many people, sees the opportunities that technology creates for the fast dissipation of information and personal action.
He is married and lives in Sussex.
-
Jason Green
Jason is the CTO of greenvoice. He is responsible for managing the technology behind the creation of the site. Jason thinks that not enough is being done to positively affect our environment, and believes that whatever positive action, however small, is one step closer to a cleaner greener earth. He hopes that he can help Greenvoice become a platform to help achieve this goal.
In his spare time, Jason enjoys wakeskating, kitesurfing, snowboarding and spending time with friends and family.
-
Giles Robertson
Giles Robertson is responsible for engaging with people and business to support Greenvoice. He is a passionate supporter of environmental change. He has worked at WWF on brand campaigns and business partnerships and in a previous career, as an adman, for Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy and Publicis, managing Coca-Cola, RSPB and Renault Clio's Papa Nicole launch. His interests are his family, with two wee children — his chief scientific advisors, art and playing squash. He does his job in the belief that there is another way we can all live without making our planet sad. He lives in South East London with his wife, Claire, and family.
-
Chris Mear
Chris is the lead developer at Greenvoice. He believes strongly in the power of the web to bring people together and make things happen in ways that wouldn't otherwise occur. Like many, he's concerned about environmental issues, but sometimes finds it hard to know how to personally make a difference. "What's exciting about working on Greenvoice is the chance to help people get that kick-start, and empowering them to make real change."
A keen amateur musician, Chris can often be found at the piano keyboard when he's not at the computer keyboard. If he's not there, chances are he'll be out having a good old chinwag over a fine ale or two.
-
Rene Jorgensen
Rene is the Campaign Manager of Greenvoice and he is responsible for managing the campaigns on the site. He believes that because everything is interconnected, respect for Mother Earth is vital for our survival and he says that, "change does not come by itself - we have to make it." He comes from a background working for Greenpeace, anti-war movements, and local NGOs.
In his spare time, he studies philosophy and likes to read and write books that advance the evolution of human consciousness. He is originally from Denmark but after joining forces with Greenvoice, he now lives in London with his Canadian wife and soul mate.
