About Laura Simpson
Things I would like to change: Climate Change impacts on Majority World countries, Biofuel impacts, water conflicts, disaster-resistant development.
About me: I work for the Aviation Environment Federation and for AirportWatch, two leading organisations in the fight against reckless aviation expansion. We promote demand-managed, sustainable aviation policies and research alternatives to the promotion of short-haul, short term thinking that dominate the industry. We also represent thousands of local residents living with aviation blight near airports, and include in our member bodies the RSPB, the National Trust, CPRE, Greenpeace, WWF, FOE, WDM, and many other brilliant organisations.

I am looking for young campaigners aged between 14 -19 to take part in a multi-media project for a terrestrial channel.
The Young Campaigners must be passionate about their subject and be focused on getting their message out to the public and help to change things for the better.
If you know of any such outspoken and determined teenagers please let me know or get them to contact me at caroline.coombs@rawtelevision.co.uk
The campaigns can range from small, localised issues to grand scale world domination..well..within reason of course!

Hi Laura,
I am talking to the mothers of WeCan.uk.com about the demo to stop airport expansion on May 20th.
One idea is to do a human chain of "NO" with children. Do you know any school class that might be interested or someone with a lot of children?
Best regards,
Rene

See summary of Chancellor's first budget on Greenvoice news http://www.greenvoice.com/campaigns/125/wikis/1...
where he announced higher road tax for the most polluting cars but delayed for six months a 2p rise in fuel duty. Also, increases in green tax on flights and supermarkets will be required to charge for plastic bags.
