About Kent Bridgewater

About me: A. Kent Bridgewater II is a leader and innovator, bringing tremendous insight into understanding, reaching and motivating others. Kent’s experience ranges from developing and marketing charity programs to ardent entrepreneurship in project management. Kent has a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in “Integrated Social Sciences” with a strong focus on media, communications, and culture from International University Bremen (IUB), now Jacobs University in Bremen, Germany. Today, Kent works in project management for Beluga Schools for Life gGmbH in Bremen, Germany. The Beluga School for Life administrates an orphanage, kindergarten, and school for Tsunami victims in Thailand. Kent, worked in the area of Global Marktets within the Corporate and Investment Banking Operations for Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt, Germany. While at University, Kent worked as a Teamleader at Hegarty's Irish Pub, Bremen, Germany. During his three-month media marketing internship at TV6, a CCN company, in Trinidad and Tobago (an amazing country) he supervised a two-week promotional TV contest, streamlined inter-company co-operation, designed and produced advertising sales material, and co-organised the yearly TV6 key account client meeting. Kent has successfully worked as a Summer High School teacher in the USA and co-developed a scientific DVD on world symbols at IUB. In 2000, Kent co-founded Habitat for Humanity International, Leysin American School Campus Chapter, (Leysin, Switzerland). This youth-led organization fundraises and yearly sends about one hundred students to international building sites to construct decent homes and eradicate poverty housing. His Habitat fundraiser “The Greatest Show on Earth” in 2001 profited over 4500 €. Kent established ‘Connect’ in 2001, a charity venture, creating positive youth development. His fundraiser “A Campaign of Giving” raised 2000 € and 600 kg of goods. Connect organised two further successful fundraisers in Bremen benefiting orphans and the poor in Beius, Romania, lauded by the regional press. In 2002 Kent received a stipend by the DAAD for his extensive community service at International University Bremen. The IUB leadership selected Kent to appear, as a student ambassador in various television, radio, and newspaper interviews and reports. He has presented at events including, International Model United Nations (Hague, the Netherlands), International Debate Education Association, National Parliamentary Debate Association Int’l Championship Debate tournament (Minsk, Belarus), and Habitat For Humanity International, Youth Leaders of Europe/Central Asia Conference (Budapest, Hungary).

Activities: Kent travelled 21 countries in Europe, Central and North America, the Gulf, and the Caribbean. He enjoys cooking International cuisine with friends in his spare time.
